Meet the Team

Gary and Brenda Haynes, Founders

I met meet Brenda at church in fall of 1995 and we were married the following June.

About a year after we married, we started our poultry farm in 1997 which has been a blessing for us, and later in 2005 I started Southern Oaks Construction building homes.

Brenda hauled firewood to convenience stores from 1998 to 2003 and she wanted to take on a new project. Her mother Sue Stringer was making biscuits at the historic Yonah Burger and said the present owner was wanted to sell, and we should get it for ourselves.

As Brenda likes to say, I came home one day and told her "I turned the water on for her," and the rest is history. We've been making biscuits, hamburgers and good friends ever since. Now we are opening a new store in Gainesville for a whole new set of happy customers.
